WE BELIEVE IN...

Being Part of the Solution

There is certainly not a shortage of problems in the world, but we have a choice on how we will respond to them...ignore them, complain about them, blame others for them, or choose to make a positive impact. At C4WI, we are working to impact the health and well-being of youth through preventative solutions that empower them to thrive in life!

 
OUR CURRENT PRIORITY

Adolescent Youth

On the surface, the majority of teens appear to be healthy, but deep inside many are not well. According to the Youth Risk Behavioral Survey conducted in the United States:

  • 2 in 5 high school youth report feelings of persistent sadness or hopelessness
  • 1 in 5 seriously consider suicide
  • 1 in 10 have made a suicide attempt

Furthermore, adolescents from around the globe report:

  • social isolation and loneliness
  • lack of meaningful relationships
  • absence of purpose or meaning
  • heightened levels of stress
  • poor self image
  • ineffective coping skills
OUR PROGRAM

WE THRIVE 

At C4WI we are working to prevent these challenges! Our WE THRIVE program incorporates clinical expertise, scientifically proven strategies, and biblical principles to build resilience, strengthen families, and improve overall well-being. We believe that teens thrive better when families thrive together. For this reason, our WE THRIVE events and small group studies target both middle school youth and their parent(s)/caregiver(s) in order to cultivate:

Wholesome/Healthy Environments

The most important environment is the home. We equip parents and caregivers to better navigate the teenage years and promote a safe, stable, and supportive environment in which their child can thrive.

Thinking

We help youth initiate healthy thinking by understanding normal teen brain development and breaking destructive thought patterns.

Habits

We encourage teens to create habits for healthy brain and body development. 

Relationships

We help foster healthy parent-child relationships and meaningful peer connections.

Identity/Purpose

We guide individuals in establishing a  healthy identity of self and life purpose.

Vision for the future

We equip teens to construct healthy goals/plans for the future.

Emotion/Stress Management

We empower adolescents to manage stress and negative emotions using healthy coping strategies.
